Hi All,
Just wanted to ask a general question.
Australian pre-decimal coins are becoming more expensive and harder to grade for the beginner. Hence the market for these coins amongst the beginners is dropping.
Generally speaking what is the interest like for pre-decimals coins in the US?

I thought this might be an interesting poll which was inspired by The Kid Collector's recent How Many and How Much polls. This is called How Many Numismatic References/Books do you own? Sometimes we get so busy buying coins we forget to add to our reference collections. Just for the sake of argument, let's call each subscription to a numismatic periodical one reference. After voting, it would be interesting for each person to name their own personal favorite reference, the one without which they simply could not survive in the numismatic world.

1- What is the process for colorization? Is it an overlay?
2- Is there any value in colorized coins or does any potential value diminish because of it?
3- Can a colorized coin be graded?
